Better Together

Since the COVID-19 quarantine began, Jon Forrest has been working diligently to provide ministry content for youth and children as well as minister to his church community. One thing he has learned: church (and ministry) was never meant to be this way.

Chris Davenport and his family moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia, to plant a church. Their official launch service took place just weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. They immediately turned their attention to serving and ministering to their hurting community.

Pedro Garcia, former atheist, discusses his conversion experience to Christianity through philosophy. Pedro is the founder of Ask and Wonder and the Outreach Director at The Donelson Fellowship in Nashville, TN.

Ashlee Lewis is a Family Nurse Practitioner working with COVID-19 patients in the hospitals in New York City. She talks about the conditions there and gives helpful insight into the virus and its continued effects on the general public. 

Phillip Morgan, History Program Coordinator at Welch College, discusses the history of pandemics and the church's response in the midst of them. 

Dr. Paul Harrison, senior pastor of Madison Free Will Baptist Church, Alabama, and author of the Free Will Baptist Catechism, talks about why/how the catechism was developed, and how it can be used by churches and families to disciple.

Don Matchett, Director of Church Relations and Development for IM, Inc., discusses their decision to postpone the World Missions Offering to August, and describes the current situation for IM and their missionaries.

Mike Kilcrease, Promotional Director the California State Association of Free Will Baptists, discusses the challenges their churches are facing in the midst of COVID-19, and what they are doing to continue to minister in their communities.

Terry Motte, pastor of First FWB Church in Salem, Oregon, Certified Thanatologist, and Board Certified Pastoral Counselor, offers insight on how families can deal with grief and loss during COVID-19. He also gives some helpful advice to help us minister to those dealing with grief and loss during this time.

Judge Phillip Whiteaker, a judge in the Arkansas Court of Appeals and worship pastor at First FWB Church in North Little Rock, discusses how we can support and pray for our government leaders during this time, and how we can continue to be good citizens and neighbors to those around us.
