The Committee on Denominational Research has released its newest survey. It is a a research study that explores the characteristics of our Free Will Baptist ordination and presbytery practices. 

 

The Committee invites one individual from each association's ordination council or board to participate in the survey. You can find the information at https://nafwb.org/research/.

Dr. Thomas Marberry serves as Distinguished Professor of New Testament at Randall University and pastor of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Daniel Webster serves as Director of Enrollment at Welch College in Gallatin, Tennessee. He shares his insight on what the fall semester at Welch will look like as well as information about financial assistance for students interested in attending the college. 

Victoria Little served as a two-year medical missionary to the Samburu people of Kenya. Victoria discusses her call to medicine and missions. It impacted the way she was able to minister to the Samburu. Her story is a testimony of how God has called all of us, regardless of skillset or vocation, to follow His leading.

David Trogdon, US Army veteran and retired chaplain, shares his perspective on Memorial Day, honoring those who died fighting for our freedom. He also shares ways that we can minister to those who have lost loved ones as well as our veterans.

David recently retired from the U.S. Army after 33 years of service, including 25 years of active duty, 16 as chaplain. He deployed twice to Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, and Kuwait. Trogdon was awarded three Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. Currently, he serves with CRU military. He is a graduate of Welch College, Southeastern Theological Seminary, the Army Command and General Staff College, and numerous military training schools.

David serves as chaplain for HOPE Project, Inc., which uses horses to help bring hope to our Heroes who may have been injured physically or emotionally. 

 

Mary Anne Oglesby-Sutherly joins the Better Together Podcast to discuss the role of the church in ministering to senior adults, particularly those suffering from dementia.
